I’d absolutely be interested in engaging with school and nonprofit partner attendees, and I appreciate the work AVIXA and the Foundation are doing at the major shows.

Speaking as a recently graduated young professional, the question I keep running into—and what motivated my original comment—is what the bridge looks like after graduation. There are great initiatives for students and strong programs for established professionals, but there seems to be a gap for early‑career professionals who have completed their degrees, gained some hands‑on experience, and are actively trying to enter the AV workforce.

In my case, I hold a bachelor’s degree, have live production and AV experience, and am actively pursuing certification like the CTS—but the cost barriers (exam fees, travel, conference registration) can be difficult to overcome without already having stable industry employment. Access to events like InfoComm—where real hiring relationships and mentorship form—can feel just out of reach at this stage.

I’d love to see continued exploration around post‑graduation pathways, such as reduced‑rate access for early‑career professionals, certification support, or structured career‑matching opportunities for those transitioning from student to professional. I think many graduates would engage deeply if those bridges were more visible and accessible.

I’m very open to being part of that conversation—and to helping shape solutions from the young professional perspective, if that would be useful.
