Managing Director, Corporate Technology Services (CTS)

Duncan has worked in the audio visual industry for over 30 years. His experience started in music, and he attended UNE in Lismore and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, business studies and accounting were his elective units. Duncan’s first “real job” in the industry was working on John Williamson’s Boomerang Café tour in 1990. Duncan graduated from University in 1991 and completed an audio engineering course at the Academy of Audio Engineers in 1992. Duncan then co-managed D-Joint club/café in Liverpool before pursuing full time work in the audio visual industry. From 1993 – 1996 he was the Senior Account Manager at Blacksheep Productions, working on events for Celine Dion, Tina Arena, former Prime Minister John Howard, Bill Gates / Microsoft, Westfield and QANTAS among many others. In 1996 Duncan moved to the Australian Stock Exchange and left after 5 years in 2001 as the team leader for the I.T. hardware and software team, AV and executive support. Major accomplishments were being on the steering committee for the $6M audio visual installation for the ASX relocation to Bridge St in 1999, and the 2000 FIBV annual conference. Duncan served as the General Manager of Blacksheep Productions for one year in 2003, and from late 2001 until late 2006, he was the Managing Director for Blacksheep Technical Services Pty Ltd, specialising in A.V. facility management and consulting. In line with closing Blacksheep Technical Services due to a director resigning and a shareholdings split, Duncan is now the Managing Director of Corporate Technology Services Pty Ltd., formed in September 2006 specialising in full audio visual managed services and solutions across Australia. Duncan is a Certified CEO and member of the CEO Institute (syndicate 41), and currently sits on industry advisory groups, he also volunteers to a number of industry and non-industry initiatives and causes.
