I am a passionate AV programming professional with a strong interest in automation and cutting-edge technology in the Audio Video industry. Skilled in SIMPL+ programming, I have successfully completed the prestigious P301 certification and Distinctive Design training from Crestron, further strengthening my expertise in AV control systems.
Beyond Crestron, I have earned certifications in Dante Level 1 & 2 and is Q-SYS Level One Certified, showcasing his proficiency in networking and audio distribution. My curiosity and drive to continuously learn new technologies make me an asset to the AV industry, where innovation is key.
I thrive on exploring advancements in automation, ensuring seamless integration and intelligent system design. With my technical expertise and commitment to growth, I am always eager to expand his knowledge and contribute to the ever-evolving world of AV technology.
As AVIXA's manager of editorial content, I bring to the role fifteen years of marketing experience and ten working predominantly in editorial and video content. I've spent many years in the entertainment industry working for Nickelodeon, Lucasfilm, Disney, and even a small theater in the heart of Florence, Italy. I love great stories and finding the right way to tell them. I am also a stop-motion animation aficionado who makes puppets and writes books. A dynamic presenter, award-winning author and recognized industry personality, Joseph Cornwall has held management and technical positions in broadcast, residential and commercial AV markets for well over 30 years. He’s been awarded InfoComm Educator of the Year, is an AVIXA faculty member and was inducted into the System Contractor News Hall of Fame for his achievements in pro AV. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he holds CTS-D, CTS-I, ISF-C, and FOI industry certifications. Joe identifies himself as an AV Technology Evangelist at Large and is retired from the daily grind.
I’m a Airport Business Developer and Audio Visual, Low Current & Security Senior Systems Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Project Management. I do have 14 years of experience in my job including 8 years of Airport Experience, at New Santiago Airport, 35M passengers/year, and Carrasco Airport in Uruguay. I was in charge of the Design, integration, and direct supervision of security, Airport Operation systems, and safety systems. I was managing directly different sub-contractors for ELV & Security systems. I was involved in the project from Design, Tender, Procurement, Super- vision, Testing & Commissioning up to ORAT and project Hand-Over. I’m also the founder of Calttron AV (Audio Video), an Consulting and Engineering company specializing in Low Voltage Systems (ELVS).
