A University of Central Florida double-alum with a Master’s in Digital Media, I'm a content creator who loves bringing people together over shared interests. As AVIXA's Coordinator of Digital Content, I produce articles on a myriad of technology topics. I've also worked on virtual reality projects, transforming Romanian folk tales into VR narratives.
Technology Coordinator, Public and School Librarian, and now Standards Coordinator at AVIXA.
I am responsible for Global Industry Engagement for AVIXA, including all membership, councils, sponsorships, and engagement programs. Oversee global sales and account management programs including our global partner accounts. Member of Strategic leadership team with involvement in association operational management and product development to meet Member needs and deliver them profitably. This function engages AVIXA ProAV members across all segments and global regions to maximize Association membership growth, member engagement, and revenue.
As Content Manager, I develop both in-person and digital programs for AVIXA. I'm always looking for new content ideas that highlight topics and trends of importance to the AV industry, particularly in the areas of Content Production and Streaming, Learning and Live Events. I lead AVIXA’s APAC marketing and communications initiatives, which include member communication, vertical market events, educational programmes and AVIXA’s brand presence at the association’s trade shows in the region. I am Tanya Houston, the CEO and Managing Director of Wildwood Plus, a PR and marketing agency I founded in 1994. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, I have guided Wildwood's growth and success, providing clients with effective B2B strategies. My role involves shaping the agency's strategic direction and maintaining strong client relationships.
In addition to my work at Wildwood Plus, I am committed to promoting gender equality and supporting women in the technology and AV industry. As the co-lead for the AVIXA Women's Council in the UK, I focus on creating opportunities for professional development and networking for women in AV.
I am a former sound designer for theater who has taken those skills and put them to use in the AV Systems Design and Integration field.
