Talking about the future of stadiums: Technology, sustainability, and experience

Being part of the first edition of the Sports World Congress 2025 in Barcelona as an official sponsor has been a true honor. This congress has marked a turning point in the sports venue industry, opening up discussions on the trends that will shape future stadiums. We are convinced that by 2030, stadiums will be much more than just sports venues: they will evolve into tech hubs and sustainable spaces, operating 365 days a year, offering immersive experiences, having a great social impact, and leading the digital transformation in sports.
🌍 The stadiums of the future will revolve around four key pillars:
-Smart infrastructure with AI, big data, and automation.
-Immersive experiences with captivating content, digital lighting, AR/VR, and full connectivity.
-Sustainability as a central focus.
-New business models ensuring long-term viability.
🚀 Looking ahead to SWC SQSW
The congress emphasized the importance of global collaboration in moving towards a more sustainable and technological vision with viable business models. Stadiums are becoming engines of transformation, crucial for both sports and the economic and technological development of cities.
For SWC2026 we expect to see impactful innovations that will enhance the fan experience and ensure the long-term viability of these infrastructures.
We'd like to thank the organizers and all the professionals we shared this experience with, especially Josep M. Monti, Vicenç Rosales for creating such a valuable platform for knowledge and networking.
See you at the next edition in 2026! 🚀
