For our April ‘25 Xchange Community Spotlight, we're featuring @GRIFITHS ZACHARIAH, Associate VP for the EMEAIO Sales and Global Alliances at ClearOne Inc. Fascinated by electronics from a young age, he initially worked at a television assembling and repair shop. As he gained more opportunities, his passion for tech turned into a full-fledged career.

“After completing my Electronics Engineering study, I worked on fax machines and emerging technologies like LCD and DLP projectors,” said Grifiths. “Troubleshooting projectors sparked my curiosity. As I gained experience, I saw the potential of AV to transform communication, and I decided to build a career around it.”

Since then, he’s been on a continuous journey of learning as he’s evolved from technical roles to sales leadership, always adapting to the industry’s rapid developments.

“The most pivotal moment in my career was the decision to move from a technical and project management role to sales, which eventually led me into leadership,” he said. “Equally significant were the moves I made throughout my career—leaving South India after study, then relocating to New Delhi for my first job, followed by a move to Mumbai to join Bose Corporation, and later to Dubai to establish and expand ClearOne’s business. These weren’t always easy decisions, but they’ve been immensely rewarding.”

With nearly two decades of experience in the AV industry, he now works at ClearOne Inc., a company that offers conferencing, collaboration, and streaming solutions. He has watched the industry evolve in many ways and believes AI will undoubtedly play a central role in AV/IT.

“While we can observe the convergence of AV, IT, and AI, it’s difficult to predict exactly how this will unfold. But one thing is clear: AI will undoubtedly play a central role. It’s worth noting that AV and IT convergence took almost two decades and is still evolving. However, the AV/IT/AI convergence will happen much more rapidly than we think,” he explained.
