At AVIXA Xchange Live at InfoComm 2025, Mahua Mukhopadhyay, Avid, Joseph Valerio, AVIXA, and Sarah Joyce, AVIXA, celebrated the life, legacy, and continuing impact of Brad Sousa, a beloved leader in the AV industry, on what would have been Brad's birthday. Through storytelling, heartfelt tributes, and the awarding of grants, the session highlighted how Brad’s values live on through the Brad Sousa Impact Fund.

Brad’s son Jared Sousa offered a moving reflection on his father’s definition of success: not wealth or titles, but the number of lives touched. “The measure of a person’s success is how many people show up at their funeral,” he recalled Brad saying — a testament to Brad’s deep belief in people and purpose.

The Brad Sousa Impact Fund, stewarded by the AVIXA Foundation, supports people, programs, and partnerships using audiovisual technology to positively transform communities.
