About Me I am a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) with a background in Mobile and Satellite Communication Engineering from the International University of East Africa (IUEA). My passion for technology and curiosity led me to the audiovisual industry during the COVID-19 lockdown. Since then, I’ve supported and led AV projects across Uganda, including digital signage, video conferencing, e-learning studios, and public address systems. I’m dedicated to raising awareness of AV technology in East Africa and hold a Google Digital Marketing certification to enhance the promotion of AV solutions in the region through media. AVIXA Mourns the Loss of Brad Sousa

A University of Central Florida double-alum with a Master’s in Digital Media, I'm a content creator who loves bringing people together over shared interests. As AVIXA's Coordinator of Digital Content, I produce articles on a myriad of technology topics. I've also worked on virtual reality projects, transforming Romanian folk tales into VR narratives. 

Managed Audio Visual services for School District 197 that includes Two Rivers High School, two (2) middle schools, and five (5) elementary schools. Provide leadership and management to the Audio Visual department. CareHawk system administrator for the two middle schools. Started a service club for Two Rivers High School and District called Tech Warriors. Tech Warriors provided level 1 computer support, event production services, and TV/Streaming production.

In my role with AVIXA standards and content teams I provide technical advisement and strategic leadership. This primarily includes standards publications and the Exam Guide books. My interests span the broad spectrum of AV/IT technologies and systems our industry provides.  Prior to taking a staff role with AVIXA I worked supporting AV/IT solutions for both public and private education as a "Technology Manager" (roles including repair, installation, design and project management) as well as a longtime volunteer for AVIXA education and standards programs.
