Igloo Vision’s biggest-ever panorama display has been installed at the Cairngorm Mountain resort in Scotland to showcase the area’s natural beauty.

The resort, which offers skiing, hiking, mountain biking and tubing, is situated 1,097 metres above sea level and can be reached by the UK’s highest funicular railway.

The Cairngorm Immersive Exhibition, which opened in January at the resort, shows a panoramic film by Scottish filmmaker Angus Trinder, featuring the landscape and wildlife of Cairngorm mountain in all seasons, on the 18-metre screen. Further images, video, information and realtime updates about conditions on the mountain are shown on the second screen.

The display is supported by nine E-Vision 5,100 lumens projectors from Digital Projection and Igloo's media servers were designed and specified to meet the demands of each display and are ideal for large, immersive screens which combine projector outputs.

Following the launch of the immersive exhibition, Cairgorm Mountain is looking to develop more content for the space, and has commissioned three more panoramic films. The resort is also looking at creative ways in which the two screens can interact.
