WAVIT (Women in AV/IT) has announced the 2026 Mary Cook Empowerment Award: Designing the Future Scholarship, honoring the legacy of Mary Cook—a trailblazer in our industry and a co‑founder of local AVIXA Women’s Council groups in Atlanta and Grand Rapids.
With support from @Shure Incorporated and @AVIXA, two scholarship recipients will be selected this year, expanding its impact and providing meaningful access to education, mentorship, and industry connection.

Each recipient will receive:

  • A full InfoComm 2026 experience in Las Vegas (June 17–19), including travel and lodging
  • WAVIT and AVIXA memberships
  • Mentorship and networking opportunities with industry leaders

Who should apply:

  • Women in the early stages of their AV/IT careers (approximately two years of experience or less)
  • Interested in AV system design, technology integration, or AEC‑related fields
  • Based in the U.S. or Canada

Application timeline:

  • Applications NOW OPEN!
  • Deadline: April 29, 2026
  • Recipients announced: June 1, 2026
