Now that the world has mostly opened back up for travel, many of us out there are trying to make up for lost time. Traveling can be a wonderful adventure that broadens your horizons and opens your mind to new things and the world around you. There’s no better way to experience new cultures, sights, and people than by traveling. Though for a lot of people (myself included), one of their favorite parts about traveling is trying new local foods. Whether you’re tasting tuna in Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market or feasting on the four pastas of Rome, you can bet that the experience will be unforgettable.

While indulging yourself in a new country’s local restaurants may be great for a while, sometimes it can certainly be a challenge figuring out exactly how and what to order, especially when there’s a language barrier. Most of the time, these challenges are a fun part of the excitement of traveling, though after a long time away from home, you may start to crave a more simple and easy dining experience. When these times do come, a restaurant with self-ordering kiosks may be exactly what you’re looking for.

While I love to travel, sometimes I simply need a comfortable and easy bite without having to talk to anybody - to just look through the menu, order my food, and eat. I love these kiosks because they make this process so simple. I can look through the menu and order as personalized of an order as I’d like without having to explain it all to another human by waving my arms and gesturing vaguely. Learning another language can be a fun and rewarding experience, but not when you’re hungry. This may seem like a small thing, but it’s the small luxuries and conveniences like this that truly feel like blessings after a long time away from home. There have been many a time where I’ve decided to eat at a restaurant simply based on the fact that it has self-ordering kiosks.

Behind the scenes, there is a lot of work that has been put in to make these kiosks run smoothly. The frustration and time that you no longer have to deal with was put in during the installation and programming.

So get out there and see the world. Meet new people and try new things. You can travel comfortably knowing that when you need something stress-free and easy, stop into a restaurant with a self-ordering kiosk for a delicious meal to enjoy in peace.

Thanks for posting this, @Josh Riley , I'll be on the lookout for one of these on my next trip! What a comfort that would be. Has anyone used one of these during their travels? Installed them? I'd love to hear what the experience was like.
