The content and sheer splendor of the LED and other AV at this mornings open ceremony for the 2022 Winter Olympics was AMAZING!

If you are anything like me and were drinking your coffee while checking out the open ceremony of this year's Winter Olympics - you were amazed!

The digital ice block, with content that not only appeared to be projected on, but through - then melting to the rings and followed by an LED floor spectacular was absolutely an entire sight to take in.

This is much watch viewing around the world and particularly for those of us in the world of AV.

If you have insight on the technology used, I would love to hear your take.

@Joé Lloyd how interesting! Here's another article that claims the China Academy of Launch Vehicle built the screen: https://www.techradar.com/news/china-built-the-worlds-largest-led-screen-for-the-2022-winter-olympics-opening-ceremony. The author even goes into details how it was built so maybe the mystery has been solved?

Mr He Bao designed the sound system, which was supplied by Huahi Audio Consulting. The sound reinforcement in the Bird's Nest was mainly L-Acoustics K2, and the mixing consoles were DiGiGo. There is a great article here with details about how Mr Bao and his team managed the sound through the different challenges, which included the cold temperatures. It's in Chinese, but easily understood if you use Google Translate : http://www.audio160.com/news/2022/2/2022_1_62542.htm
