June 20th was "World Refugee Day" as designated by the United Nations. With so many parts of the world facing global crises, I am reminded of the importance of resiliency, adaptability, and hope, in order to thrive...and SURVIVE. This recent article in Forbes highlights key lessons that corporate leaders can gain from refugees' experience and how companies can benefit by giving refugees job opportunities. Even more importantly, these lessons about dealing with disruptions and "the unknown" are important for ALL of us as individuals.
I am delighted to be part of the HR Department at AVIXA and an Ambassador of the Jobs Room of the Xchange! I hope to bring my 25+ years of broad-based experience in Human Resources, both in consulting and in-house roles, to our Xchange members as a helpful resource and source of information and best practices.
