Your CTS Transcript is a great tool to help you keep track of all the activities you complete for when you need to renew. Although your renewal may not be coming up any time soon, make sure you are keeping track of your RUs to make the renewal process quick and easy in the future. Remember, you must renew your certifications every three years.
Before following these steps, have your training certificate of completion handy:
- Log in here to access your CTS Transcript.
- Go to the CTS Transcript tab at the top.
- Select the Add Courses button on the far right.
- The Register Courseware Box will open. Choose the Provider, and the course list will open.
- Once you've chosen the course, select the date of training completion in the calendar selector.
- Select the Add Courses button and upload your certificate of completion using the File Upload button. The course will now appear on your CTS Transcript with its RUs.
Where can I see if an external course will grant me RUs?
- Visit our RU Provider list here. This list contains all the RU provider courses and their associated RUs. Check back often as our list is constantly updated.
What if my course does not appear in the Register Courseware Box?
- Check the Education History tab at the top of the page. See if the course is within this section. If it is, select the course and proceed to upload your certificate of completion. The course will then transfer to your CTS Transcript. If the course does not appear here, contact the Certification Department.

I'm an elite member finishing up my renewal. Why can't I access my courses?
Hi Wilmer! AVIXA courses and webinars you complete are automatically added to your CTS Transcript, and you should be able to see those there. Our Membership team has reached out to you via email for further assistance with accessing training courses. Do you have to be an AVIXA member to add RUs to your account?
That's a great question! You don't need to have a paid AVIXA membership to add RUs to your account; however, you will need to hold a certification to claim RUs. Any RUs obtained prior to earning a certification will not count for future renewals.
